Google Places is a web mapping service application and technology provided by Google for free to local business owners. Previously called Google Maps, this application recently changed to become the #1 most beneficial tool to business owners everywhere, hands down. Yet, most business owners are still clueless about this feature.
Previously, Google would rank the top 7 local businesses A-E and place a small Maps listing in the search results ahead of the top 10 organic results. In late 2010, Google changed their algorithm to make the top 7 local results the actual first 7 organic results.
Why is that such a big deal? Because this has rapidly increased how quickly you can rank #1 in Google. Organic Search Engine Optimization is still a must-have, don’t get me wrong. You should build an SEO-friendly website with a great link building campaign and a lot of useful, optimized content. This will establish excellent organic results. On the other hand, you can be ranking in the A Spot (now also the #1 organic spot) by the end of the week.
The best part is that most SEO firms still don’t even know how to rank well in Google Places. And most business owners certainly still are not familiar with the slightly altered algorithm that Places uses. Whoever currently ranks in those top 7 spots can easily be defeated with a quick, targeted SEO plan.
Blue Liquid Media knows EXACTLY what it takes to rank #1.
Don’t believe me? I’ll prove it. Contact me and I will get you to the top of the Google Maps listings. If I fail – even if it’s the #2 listing – you don’t pay a cent. How is that for a guarantee?
